The International Association of Bryologists is a non-profit organization founded in 1969 at the XI International Botanical Congress.

(Mexico) - First Vice-President; Benito Tan (Singapore) - Second Vice-President; Blanka Shaw (USA) - Treasurer; Geert Raeymaekers (Belgium) - Secretary & Editor of The Bryological Times; and Christine Cargill (Australia); Marshall Crosby (USA); Hironori Deguchi (Japan); Uwe Drehwald (Germany); Johannes Enroth (Finland); Tomas Hallingbäck (Sweden); Terry Hedderson (South Africa); Michael S. The annual membership fee is 11 US $. (Members who would like to receive a paper copy of the Bryological Times should add 10 US $ to their annual membership fee)
Undergraduate and graduate students may join free for their first year of membership in IAB. Please provide a signature of your advisor to certify that you are a student.

Expert Advice — The Association maintains a web-based data base on international bryological expertise.
Publications — The Association publishes and distributes to all members presentations given at our biennial meetings and expert workshops.
