The Bryological Times is published 4 times a year and contains items of interest to all bryologists. It includes a variety of columns expressing current thoughts in the field, reports of IAB meetings, news and notes, personalia, reviews of recent publications, a diary of future meetings and workshops, and information on computer developments. Our editor, Geert Raeymaekers, encourages everyone to send all contributions (except those for regular columns, which should go directly to the column editors) to

BRYONET

Bryonet-l is an email discussion and news group sponsored by IAB. Bryonet is open to anyone who is interested, with no charge.

Bryonet is a managed list, which means all messages come to the owner/manager and are forwarded to the list. This prevents spam from entering the list but does cause a delay in distribuition of messages.

The intent of the list is to provide good international discussions and a forum in which teachers, ecologists, bryologists and anyone interested can get questions about bryophytes answered.

It is appropriate to ask bryological questions, send news items of interest to bryologists, announce bryological meetings and forays, announce publications of interest to bryologists, or ask for help in locating a bryologist or bryological collections. Teachers wanting information on bryophytes are encouraged to bring their questions to the list.

Send messages to <bryonet-l@mtu.edu> (letter l as in list, not number 1). Note that if you reply, replies go to the entire list, not just the sender, so do not send personal messages by replying to a Bryonet message. Please include your email address in the body of the message if you want a response - some folks will want to respond privately.

If you want to subscribe:
mail to:
 majordomo@mtu.edu
 no subject
message:
 subscribe bryonet-l

Note that bryonet-l is the letter l (for list), not the number one. Do not include your email address. Majordomo will take it from your mail. You may get a message that tells you it is waiting for approval.

All subscriptions come to the manager for approval and she must personally send a message to majordomo to approve your subscription. Once you are subscribed, you should get a message back telling you about bryonet and how to unsubscribe.

When you subscribe, please send Janice Glime a separate message with your email address, name, and country/state for our records.
